Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) more popularly known as her professionally-known surname Ari Lennox is an American artist and songwriter hailing who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The first single, Pho was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. She began to gain notoriety. Shea Butter Baby, her debut album, was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started posting her music to the internet back in 2012 after she dropped her first mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in the year 2013. In 2014, she debuted more music via the Internet including Bound. In 2015, she appeared on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, performing the track "Sweat It Out" 21st July. In the following year, her music circulated around the Dreamville group as J. Cole wanted her to collaborate with him for some references for Rihanna. Her contract was signed officially by Dreamville Records on 8 December. In the Album Revenge of the Dreamers II which she was featured on, she sang the track Backseat, along with Cozz. In the month of October the singer-songwriter released her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performance on behalf of J. Cole on his song Change in 2017, and performed on 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018 she went on to be a guest on two tracks with her labelmates EarthGang in Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single, Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on 16 July, 2018. A music video launched in September. The second single she released was called Grampa on the 9th of November. She then released on November 13 two brand new singles, titled"No One and Pedigree. She was featured with Cole in the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby, on November 16, and then made the track available on her own single to accompany the album she released her debut. The 20th of February, 2019 an official music video released to accompany the track. It has already received nearly three million views on YouTube within the first week. In December 2018, she performed as part of From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
